Turkmen tourism companies follow approximately 20 routes, embracing and educating on various culture, like those of Parthia, Merv,and Dehistan. Tourism companies also organize informative excursions along the rolling river Amu-Darya. Tourists travel the length of the river on the backs of the famous Akhaltekin racers and sometimes,even, even on the back of camels.
The camels tours are especially popular along the Kara-Kum man-made channel which happens to be the largest man-made channel in the world, and is even mensioned in the Guinness' Book of the World Records.
